Develop Leadership Skills - During classes, leadership labs, physical training, and field training exercises, you will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups, and conduct missions as an officer in the United States Army or Air Force.

Build Confidence - You will gain the confidence and self-discipline necessary to succeed in college. As you progress, you will gain skill and experience in taking charge of activities, setting goals, managing people and resources, and making decisions in demanding circumstances.

Pay for College - ROTC offers a variety of scholarships that will help relieve the financial burden of your college education. A variety of full and partial scholarships are available, and certain scholarships have specific requirements. ROTC scholarships can be used to cover tuition and most lab fees. Also, you’ll receive an annual textbook allowance and a monthly stipend ranging from $300 in your freshman year to $500 in your senior year.

ROTC will prepare you to succeed in any competitive environment. The leadership training and experiences that you will have in ROTC will provide you with a foundation to become commissioned officers in the United States Air Force or Army, facing challenging and rewarding career opportunities while using the most advanced technology in the world.

Upon completion of the ROTC program, you will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and will embark on your first assignment with the military. The careers that await cadets include everything from pilots to medical careers, to engineers to police officers. ROTC graduates start their career at the management level. The experience they obtain as leaders and the technical training they receive translate to valuable, marketable experience outside of the military.
