About the Reserve Officers' Training Corps Program

ROTC at Cedarville Brings Life Change

Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a college-based military officer commissioning program designed as a college elective. Through the ROTC program, you will develop skills in leadership, problem-solving, strategic planning, and professional ethics. Rigorous training will help you gain the confidence and self-discipline necessary to succeed in college, the military, and beyond.

You may try ROTC during your freshman and sophomore years without being obligated to serve in the military. If you decide you are up to the challenge, you will continue the advanced courses of ROTC as you complete your degree.

After completing the ROTC program, you will be commissioned as an officer to serve on active duty or with the Reserves or National Guard.

Cedarville offers ROTC programs for the United States Army and Air Force. While the program is open to all majors, both branches have a high need for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) majors, as well as nursing majors.
